USHP Student Membership |
WHAT IS USHP? USHP is the Utah state affiliate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). We support and uphold the mission of ASHP at the state level. HOW IS SSHP RELATED TO USHP AND ASHP? Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHPs) are recognized as ASHP-SSHP chapters if they encourage involvement in both the national organization (ASHP) and state affiliate (USHP). In turn, the SSHP Presidents of the University of Utah and Roseman University serve as voting members of our Board of Directors, representing their student membership. WHY SHOULD I BE A MEMBER OF BOTH ORGANIZATIONS? USHP sponsors a biannual CV Review Night for students. We also offer USHP members a Mentorship Program to connect you to more seasoned pharmacists. This is a great way for you to network and build professional relationships. Our members often help judge the Clinical Skills Competition. Finally, we offer opportunities for you to present a poster on a research project twice annually at the USHP Annual Meeting, and at Pharmacy Day on Capitol Hill which we sponsor with UPhA. | HOW DO I JOIN USHP AS A STUDENT?
